Delete your LessonPro account

Delete it yourself

1. Go to getlessonpro.com/login and sign in with the phone number on your account and the code we text you.
2. Your dashboard opens. Scroll to the bottom, to the Danger Zone.
3. Tap Delete my account, type DELETE in the box, then tap Permanently delete.

Your account is deleted at once and your public profile stops showing on LessonPro. This cannot be undone. To come back later you would apply again and be verified again. The LessonPro app for iPhone and Android has the same Danger Zone on its dashboard.

Cannot sign in? Email us

Email hello@getlessonpro.com with the subject "Delete my LessonPro account". Tell us your full name, the phone number on your account and, if you have it, your LessonPro code (LP followed by 8 digits) or profile link. We check that the request really comes from you, then delete your account within 7 days and tell you when it is done.

What we delete

When your account is deleted, we remove all of this from LessonPro straight away:

• Your tutor profile: name, phone and WhatsApp numbers, email, subjects, levels, area, bio, rate and education
• Your Ghana Card number and our record of your Ghana Card and selfie photos
• Your referees (their names and phone numbers) and our reference-check notes
• Your profile photo and your certifications
• Reviews students left about you, your replies, and reports made about you
• Your profile view, share, call and WhatsApp counts
• Invoices and receipts you created, and your mobile money payment details
• The app's notification tokens for your phones

What we keep, and for how long

• Photo files: the image files themselves (Ghana Card, selfie, profile photo and certificate scans) are removed from our image storage within 30 days, as our Privacy Policy says.
• Text message log: if we sent you SMS announcements, our log of those messages keeps your name and number. Email us and we will remove it.
• Database backups: backup copies of our database can hold your data until they expire. We never use them to bring a deleted account back.

Not a tutor?

Students and parents do not need a LessonPro account. If you left a review or a report, email hello@getlessonpro.com with your phone number and we will delete what we hold about you.
