Track Tutoring Earnings and Statements
See what you received, what parents still owe, earnings by subject and payment method, and download a PDF or CSV statement by month, quarter or year.
The Earnings screen tracks your tuition payments in one place: what you received, what parents still owe and who paid you most. It counts money from your receipts only, so the numbers match what reached your wallet, not what you hope to be paid.
Earnings is in the LessonPro app. On your dashboard, tap Received this month, or tap Earnings under Tools.
Received, still owed and top students
At the top, pick a period: This month, Last month, This quarter or This year.
The navy box shows the total you received in that period and how many payments it was. A small label compares it with the same length of time before. For example, this month so far against the same days last month.
Below it:
- Still owed is the total of invoices you sent that are not paid yet, whatever their date. Overdue invoices are counted separately, so you know whom to remind first.
- Invoices paid shows how many invoices were paid in the period.
- The bar chart shows money received By day for a month, or By month for a quarter or a year.
- Top students and parents lists the five people who paid you most in the period.
Voided receipts are not counted. Statements list them separately under "Voided (not counted)".
Nothing shows yet? Earnings only counts receipts. Mark your paid invoices as paid, and make a receipt for cash payments. Give a tuition receipt.
By subject and by payment method
By subject shows how much each subject earned you. If one invoice covered two subjects, the payment is shared between them in proportion to each lesson line. A receipt made without an invoice counts under the subject you picked, or under "Other".
This tells you which subjects pay for your time. If WASSCE Chemistry fills your evenings but Primary English brings in more, you know.
By payment method splits the money into mobile money, cash, bank transfer and other. Handy when you check your MoMo statement against your records.
Download a statement (PDF or CSV)
A statement lists every payment in a period, with totals. Keep it for your own records, or share it when someone asks for proof of what you earn.
- Scroll to Statement at the bottom of Earnings.
- Pick the period: This month, Last month, This quarter or This year. The exact dates show underneath.
- Pick PDF, or CSV (Excel) for a spreadsheet.
- Tap Download statement, then save or share it from your phone.
The PDF has the LessonPro logo, your totals received and still owed, every receipt in the period from oldest to newest, totals by payment method, and the invoices still owed at the end of the period, with overdue ones marked.
The CSV has one row per payment (date, receipt number, student or parent, description, method and amount), then a total for each method and a grand total.
Neither file contains any parent's phone number.
