Add Certificates: NTC Licence, B.Ed, WAEC
Upload your NTC licence, B.Ed, PGDE, WAEC or GES letter and earn the gold Credential verified badge. Files stay private; only the name shows.
Certificates are optional on LessonPro. Your Ghana Card check is what gets you listed. But a checked certificate, such as an NTC licence or a B.Ed, earns you a gold Credential verified badge, and that badge shows on your profile and next to your name in search results.
Which certificates count
In the LessonPro app, you choose who issued the certificate:
- WAEC, for example your WASSCE certificate
- Ghana Education Service (GES), for example a GES appointment letter
- National Teaching Council (NTC licence), with your licence number if you want to add it
- University (B.Ed / PGDE / degree), where you type which university
- Other, where you type who issued it, for example a professional body
You can have up to 3 certificates in review or verified at once. A certificate that was not approved does not count toward the 3.
Choose the ones that prove you can teach what you list. A B.Ed in Mathematics backs up a maths profile better than an unrelated short course.
Add one: In review, Verified, Not approved
- On your dashboard, under Tools, tap Certifications.
- Under Add a certificate, pick who it is Issued by.
- Type the Certificate name, for example "B.Ed Mathematics".
- For an NTC licence, add the NTC licence number (optional) as printed.
- Tap Add page and add a clear photo of each side, or one PDF. You can add up to 3 pages. Photos can be up to 4 MB and PDFs up to 8 MB.
- Tap Send for review.
The certificate then shows one of three labels:
- In review: our team has not checked it yet.
- Verified: we checked it against your document. The gold badge is on your profile.
- Not approved: we could not verify it. The reason shows underneath, for example a photo that is not clear. Delete it and upload a clearer copy.
We text you when we have checked each certificate, and the app sends a push if notifications are on.
You can delete a certificate that is in review or not approved. To remove a verified one, contact support.
On the website, sign in and use the Certifications card on the Edit Profile tab.
What parents see
Only the certificate name and who issued it are ever public. Your documents stay private, and so does your licence number.
Parents see:
- the gold Credential verified badge on your profile and on your card in search results
- a Credentials section on your profile, listing each verified certificate by name and issuer
- when they tap the badge, the date we checked each one, and the line that our team checked it against your original documents
The badge means our team checked the document you uploaded. It does not grade your teaching. That part is up to your reviews.
While you are improving your profile, two more things help: add referees who can vouch for you and edit your bio, subjects and photo.
