Get Paid by Mobile Money as a Tutor

Add your mobile money number once and every unpaid LessonPro invoice shows parents where to pay you. Families pay you directly. No commission.

Parents who pay by MoMo need your number and the name on your wallet. Add them to LessonPro once, and every unpaid invoice you send tells the parent exactly where to pay. The money goes from their wallet to yours. LessonPro is not in between.

Add your MoMo number

In the LessonPro app:

  1. On your dashboard, under Tools, tap Payment.
  2. Type your Mobile money number, for example 024 123 4567. It must be a mobile number starting with 02 or 05.
  3. Type the Name on the wallet (optional), exactly as it shows when someone sends you money.
  4. Tap Save payment details.

It saves at once, with no review and no SMS code. You can also reach this screen from the Invoices screen, or from Set your mobile money number on a new invoice.

On the website, sign in, open the Invoices tab and fill in Payment details.

To change the number, type the new one and save again. Open invoices show the new number straight away. To remove it, clear the number and save.

Where parents see it

Your MoMo number appears in one place: the Pay to block on your unpaid invoices, on the invoice page and in the PDF.

It is not on your public profile, not in search and not on receipts. Parents who only browse LessonPro never see it.

When the parent has paid, check your MoMo confirmation SMS, then mark the invoice paid. LessonPro makes the receipt for you. Give a tuition receipt.

LessonPro never holds your money

LessonPro does not take card payments, does not collect tuition and does not hold money for anyone. Parents pay you directly, by MoMo, cash or bank transfer. We take no commission and charge no agency fee.

That also means LessonPro cannot refund, chase or reverse a payment. Agree the fee and the due date with the parent before the lessons start, and put it on an invoice. How to send a tuition invoice.

Anyone signed in as you could change your payment number. If you lose your phone, or think someone else has signed in, use Sign out everywhere at once. Lost your phone? Sign out everywhere.
